MONK Network¶
MONK Balance¶
The monk-balance is the PepLink balance we use at MONK. You can login to monk-balance using these credentials:
User: webmonks
pPsw: QuarantaDue-42!
The IP address of monk-balance.monk is 192.168.0.1, just in case that something breaks on the MiniRadius (more on that later).
After you’ve logged in, you have many many options to configure, which we will cover in this document from time to time.
Balancer¶
The PEPLink Balancer documentation can be found at this address http://www.peplinkworks.com/Balance-310.asp
Currently we are using three different networks:
192.168.0.x/24 for “MonkNetwork” Network
192.168.2.x/24 for “Services” Network
192.168.3.x/24 for “Guest” Network.
The three networks are also separated using VLAN TAG thich is the same as the network third octet if != 0. So, 2.x got VLAN tag 2, 3.x got VLAN tag 3, 0 is untagged.
The “Services” Networks is meant to publish public services on the internet using the “Inbound” Peplink capabilities.
Currently the exposed services are:
LIAM service (exposed on monk1.duckdns.org:3333 TCP)
OpenVPN service (exposed on monk1.duckdns.org:1194 UDP)
The LIAM Service is running on the miniPC which answers on the IP address 192.168.2.158. Please notice that the only mean to reach the miniPC is through the miniradius (the multi service Raspberry PI). You must login there first, and then you can reach the separate “service” network where liam lives. The OpenVPN Service is running on the multi-service RaspBerry PI in the rack.

MONK Television¶
The monk television has a browser that has its homepage set to our Zabbix alarm server, on a special alias that we prepared on the Zabbix host, https://alarms-admin.webmonks.net/monk_tv.
Should you need it to relogin, these are the credentials: * User: monk_tv * Pasw: quarantadue
